What is to paint? Well, To me Painting is Meditation. Its an expression of your ideas, thoughts and emotions. Its a communication of your expressions through colors.
Art has the power to engage you so fully and bringing you into the present moment. It is a fun activity that stimulates the imagination and relaxes the brain. It Reduces stress – studies show that both creating and observing art can reduce cortisol, the ‘stress hormone’. Doing something you love also releases endorphins- “feel-good” chemicals that combat stress and reduces pain. This is a wonderful thing for all people and especially for those who have trouble with self-expression.
Painting sharpens the mind through conceptual visualization and implementation and also boosts memory skills. People using creative outlets such as writing, painting and drawing have less chance of developing memory loss illnesses when they get older. It can improve your concentration, develop your critical thinking skills, and enhance your fine motor skills. It can foster creative growth, build your confidence, promote a positive attitude and nurture emotional growth. Learning how to paint should be more pleasure than pressure.
The core pillars of Arts includes – color, value, composition, edges, brushwork and technique.Painting is a way not only to convey ideas, express emotions but also to explore color, explore process and outcomes, and create some pleasing works and thus also creating experiences for lifetime.
Painting Builds self-esteem – I feel anything but confident as I start a new Painting. Painting provides a challenge and with each hour I paint, I am building skills. It is an activity with a tangible result and the more I dedicate myself, slowly but surely, the more I can see improvement and feel a sense of achievement.
